Flame village

Flame / Time · the forge country

Flame village is the craft village on the clay banks, full of kilns, potters and dyers. People learn a craft there, season by season. In the drift its Time died, so nothing was kept and the promised changes never came.

On the clay banks below the ridges, near the last of the forest, there's kiln smoke, wet clay and stacked wood. This is where you are shaped: crafts and apprenticeships, served season by season.

Its people come from Flame: potters, dyers, cooks and reformers. They burn what should stay. Their pact is the Slow Reform: change by the season, with the kilns paid for on credit.

The flaw is that the reform gets put off forever. When Time died here, change came with nothing kept, and the reform that was promised never arrived. Patience went with Time.
