Tari

Spirit + Sound · the Called of Temeama

Tari is the boy at the heart of The Little One and Tari Learns to Listen. He grew up in the city, came to the creeks knowing no Ịzọn, and learned it one word at a time. He holds Spirit and Sound, and he is bringing Sound home to Temeama.

Tari holds Spirit and Sound, a completed pair. That makes him the one to carry Sound back to Temeama, where nobody had sung the names in a century.

He is the little one of The Little One. He grew up in the city, far from the creeks, and arrived in the village without a word of Ịzọn. He learned it the slow way, one word at a time.

People listen to a sound-holder, and spirits do too. Sound has no conscience of its own, so his work is pointing it well.
